Joe Paterno is a coach with values and character more than he is a coach who is in the top three all time Division I College Coaches.

Joe believes developing young men is more important than a winning record.  If the athletes in college don’t get a degree and just play football for a team to get a winning record that is using the young men not developing them.  Joe is proud that all his players are Academic All American.

Winning has a price but not at the expense of Athletes.  For that matter winning comes to us all when we develop people to reach their goals and then ours will be achieved automatically.

Joe is unwavering by political pressure, he will follow his heart and do what is best for the young men first.

Records are not as important as doing what is right and best for those who are depending on us.
